Stand up paddling combines the thrill of surfing with the techniques of paddling, a match made in heaven. Kailua offers a variety of conditions, from flat water cruising to moderate chop and rolling waves. Lessons generally stick to the calmest areas to practice basic strokes and techniques.
North Shore Stand-Up Paddleboard Lesson
Soak up the lush landscape of Oahu’s North Shore on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). During a 2-hour lesson, suitable for beginner paddlers, you’ll receive instruction before balancing your board on the calm waters of the Anahulu River, abundant with sea turtles and other marine life. With no more than three students per instructor, enjoy a personalized session tailored to your skill and fitness level.
