Small Group Tour: Ultimate Volcano Experience with Restaurant Dinner
This first-class tour showcases the raw nature of the active volcano-Kilauea. Journey through the Kona coffee country, the rugged Kona coastline, and macadamia nut and coffee orchards. Take in dramatic views of the Kealakekua Bay! Enjoy a catered picnic lunch at Kona Joe coffee and a behind-the-scenes look at their famous coffee farm. Enjoy a Portuguese doughnut at the Southernmost bakery in the United States - Punalu'u Bake Shop. Walk along the world-famous Punalu'u Black Sand beach and take pictures of nesting Hawaiian sea turtles. Finally, spend time at the world's most active volcano - Kilauea! We'll show you lava tubes, steam vents, and the popular lookout at Halemaumau Crater. The Grand Volcano Experience is topped off with a dinner at Kilauea Lodge, views of the magma glow at Jaggar Museum, and a comfortable cruise back to Kona (complete with movies, hot beverages, and hot towel service). Lunch and dinner are included on this incredible tour!
Waterfall Rappel and River Experience
The Umauma Falls Waterfall Rappel and River Experience Tour is a 3.5-4 hour tour that takes you into the beautiful Umauma gorge to experience the Umauma River up close and personal. This tour starts with a 250 foot rappel that goes right into the Umauma River. You will explore waterfalls, swim and float down the river, see a 100 year old flume dam that creates an infinity pool effect in the river. Next you will slide down a natural stone formation and rappel down waterfalls, and end your river with an optional cliff jump. The tour concludes at a private swimming pond and pavilion where you are served a deli style lunch. All gear is provided, including a full-body wet suit, flotation vest, helmet, tabis and top of the line rappel gear. Just come with your swim clothes and a change of dry clothes for after the tour. We even provide the towels.
Volcano Tour - Shared Tour with up 10 guests
This is a shared Shore Excursion with up to 10 guests from your ship. This tour runs 6 to 6.5 hours.
Your guide will pick you up from the Hilo Cruise Port and take you directly to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to get ahead of the big bus tours.
Besides the volcano Park you will see an orchid farm, Macadamia Farm where you can purchase a lunch and enjoy samples and macadamia ice cream. Also on the tour is Rainbow Falls. On the way to the last stop the black sand beach you will drive past a 30 acre garden named after the last queen of Hawaii and also Banyan drive with lots of very old banyan trees.
Your guide will then return you to your ship.
